"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 KJV

Original unveiling!!

This is a picture of Spencer trying on his sweater after opening it as a gift.  It has not been laundered, so there is definitely wisdom in handling your swatch before measuring.  After laundering, the gauge changed to what I used in the pattern design.  I'm glad I can see the difference -- not much in the length, more in the width.

Christmas Sweater

Posted by PicasaSo thankful to my Heavenly Father for gracing me with patience, determination, and mental fortitude to complete my husband's Christmas sweater!!  Thanks Cobi for the prayers and encouragement.  Since I began to machine knit in 2008, I have learned much more than techniques.  Like any gifting from my God, there are so many characters lessons that are bonuses in the process.

Naturally, I wanted to critique the fit (shorten the sleeves for one, one notch lower on tension for ribbing), however, overall the fit is great.  I find my husband has to endure the same challenges that I do when fitting and therefore, adjustments will be in length a bit.  This was a good week's work, probably about 12 hours if I worked straight through.  Gauge, swatches, measurements techniques, all important elements...of course, this is preaching to the choir for those experienced MKers out there!

Victory is so satisfying - Hallelujah!!   Blessing to you all...trust you had a Christ-centered Christmas!

Stay tuned -- we have just begun -- thank you Lord!
