"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8 KJV

Lace MK update

With blank cards in hand, photocopies of punch cards to use as a guide, and my handy puncher ready to go, I set out to punch my very own cards! Thanks Berda (hobbyknittermachine yahoo group: http://hobbyknitter.110mb.com/ )for all of your help. You are a jewel.

Speaking of jewels, my mind remembers the scripture ...I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps 139:14 KJV).

I knitted my first lace piece on my Studio 360! I cast on with the regular carriage and changed to the lace carriage ('cause that's all I know right now!). I used the #10 lace card that I punched. It is simply amazing to watch as that carriage bends those needles to transfer stitches. I had some issue with the type of yarn I selected, but I plan on fixing that shortly courtesy of ebay (smile). After watching my lace carriage move stitches from needle to needle and seeing a pattern evolve, I became amazed. I give kudos to all of those lace MKers out there (you know who you are Mo') because it takes concentration, patience and time -- and I LOVE IT!!! The end product is worth any and all effort. Now my little lace swatch might not hang in the museum of lace art, but it's worth a million bucks to me!!

And so it is with us that God has created so skillfully. We may "drop a stitch" in our lives occasionally (well, often then!) but the Master knows every pattern being worked out. So, you might not understand the "needles that are being transferred" in your life and sure it can be painful. Get some "oil of gladness" and be rest assured that your beautiful "pattern" will evolve to be a beautiful cover of grace, healing and hope for a lost, cold, lonely, and dying world.

You are a jewel, a beautiful creation and never forget that!

Psalm 139 says:
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

So we will continue to create beauty, because of the beauty the Master has placed within us.
